The Boats

 An F.1 Powerboat is a racing vessel, constructed from advanced composite materials. All boats must measure to strict F.1 guidelines, inclusive of both hull and engine capacity. They are
also restricted to bare minimum weight rules that are dictated by
engine size.
Standard Specifications of a Powerboat are:-

- Length  550 cm.
- Weight  550 kg.
- Engines 400 Hp.
- Speeds up to  225 kmph.

-Pressure 6 g. at turns
-Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph. in 3.5 seconds

Greek Concept

  • As Greece is the birthplace of the competing spirit, and being surrounded by the sea, it was destined that a significant sport such as the F.1 Powerboat would be held within its waters.
  • Therefore, a round of F.1 Powerboat Championship shall be held on the waters of the beautiful island of Corfu.
  • Due to the high international T.V. coverage of the event, the numerous Greek Tourist destinations shall be promoted, thus boosting the flow of inbound tourist to Greece, during and after the event.
  • To maintain a continuity of the fame and glory the Greeks brought home during the Olympics in Athens & Football European Champions in 2004, Winners of Eurovision & Basketball European Champions in 2005, and runners up in Basketball World Chapmionship in 2006.
  • Many significant international business representatives shall be invited to the event, thus giving an opportunity for the Greek entrepreneurs to make contact with entities abroad, hence boosting the Greek economy.
